”Mom when you were little did you skip rocks?” I hadn’t thought about it..but yes! I remember going to the lake and attempting to skip rocks. Memories flashed through my mind, all this in a matter of seconds. I quickly answered her,

“YES!” She then continued to tell me “Well mom, pretend like your a kid again and skip some rocks with us!” I didn’t hesitate and picked up a rock and launched it into the water. They all giggled and yelled “Good job mom!” We continued our walk with no set destination insight. We were taking in the wonderfully crisp weather. We hit a patch of clovers, they all stopped and the search began for the “Lucky“ four leaf clover. I‘m not sure where the story originates, that if you find a four leaf clover it somehow would guarantee to bring you luck. I had to google it! Luck is the success or failure apparently brought by chance rather than through one‘s own actions. I don‘t agree as we are all capable of taking ownership of our purpose in life that being said that topic is for another story. My kiddos continue to pick up and throw some more rocks and my daughter stops me. To my surprise she says ”Here mom, I picked this rock for you because its beautiful like you!” I was a little taken back by her compliment definitely did not expect that. I gave her an embracing hug and proceeded to put my new rock in my pocket. The more we walked the more our shoes got muddy. It had been raining the last few days, non the less we continuted to appreciate our time together. It was time to turn back, on our way back everyone said ”Thank you mom, we always have so much fun with you!” As of today, I am now a proud owner of a cool rock collection.
