Have you ever considered doing something, yet held off since you began to doubt your potential for success? Let me tell you, this has happened to me many times. Yet I've worked to break free from doubt and self-loathing. I'm all about believing! Believing is only the first step to overcoming worries concerning the 'what ifs' and the 'why nots.' My vision has now established the course of action necessary to achieve anything. To put it directly, I intensely trust in my idea and envision it in my imagination, then compose it on paper, and later turn it into reality. When your why is deeply-rooted and comes from an earnest longing, the how will feel like second nature. No part of this journey is simple. Training to govern your mentality and how you perceive matters is a struggle all on its own, but the more encouraging thoughts I fill my head with, the more my self-assurance and determination are outwardly noticed. I've been doing things like meditating, exercising, sleeping better, reading, taking on new projects - I even have a book to learn French right now - and pushing through my self-doubts and dealing with the uncomfortable feelings of possibly being rejected. I'm continually struck by how readily our minds reject our own ideas without giving them a chance, almost like we already knowing the answer will be "No" thanks to our self-doubt. Thoughts hold tremendous potential! Hours and minutes are fleeting. Why not make the best of every day? Life does come with its hardships – clearly, life is full of ups and downs. Yet what's important is what we take away from those days and make them worthwhile. The real magic lies in how you handle those challenging days and what you make of them. Listening to people who don't share your values or enthusiasm will not advance your goals. Start breaking away from the boundaries you set for yourself and try to really envision what you hope to accomplish. Feeling brave? Then face your fears and take a step forward even though it may be uncomfortable. Just a few days ago, I launched my second business venture, filled with enlivening new possibilities and exciting goals. I share a great conviction for this venture and yet I'm still scared but determined not to let fear stand in my way! Taking things one step at a time, I'm keeping my focus and persisting with discipline, even when the enthusiasm may wane. I've got to remain dedicated!
Ponder this: What aspirations have been stirring in your heart? What is preventing you from pursuing them? When are you making time for your dreams?
